I had been nervous about using my fireplace for several reasons but due to the dropping temperatures in Kyiv I finally had to toss aside my fears and just go for it. I also closed the doors to each room and am a little warmer today than I was yesterday but then again it is a few degrees warmer today than it was yesterday.
Ukraine has gas for now and my heating issues are not necessarily tied to the dispute that is ocurring currently between Russia and Ukraine. I love the apartment that I have and the location is wonderful. The apartment has very high ceilings and many drafts leaking in through the windows and doors. It is cold and I am learning to layer my clothes. Hopefully this means that it will be cool in the summer months.
