Last Wednesday I took Nika to the Vet because her eye was really red and she didn't appear to feel 100%. The Vet prescribed some meds and did a test and told me to come back on Saturday to check the results. Turns out that Nika has an infection and the course of treatment is injections! She has to have injections (2 a day) for the next week plus each day and then two weeks of med. Hopefully the test will show that the infection is gone.
The first three days Nika was fine with the shots but today she couldn't get off the table fast enough and was howling and trying to escape the assistant that was administering the shots. I can't imagine doing this for another week!
