Zohre's Birthday Party was very nice. Dinner is on the floor - Turkmen tradition is that dinner is all served in this style. They do not have tables. It was a lot of fun and lots of toast. I went with Bill, Mellie and Mary. Lots of people were present and we were fortunate to get to celebrate this day with Zohre. Sachley translated many of the toast for us and they were moving and beautiful. Very poetic!
Natasha and Natasha - They are fun crazy women. Both are Russian - The Natasha in black was the Tomadan- master of ceremony- she made sure we had plenty to drink and assigned who was to toast. Both women are a blast to work with.
